Visual Arts Vision Statement
At Episcopal School of Acadiana, we believe that art is a fundamental mode of communication. The Visual Arts Department seeks to provide a relevant, integrated, and essential component of the ESA education ensuring that all students are fluent in the visual language.
Through intellectual cultivation of creativity students acquire skillful knowledge of media, with the freedom and responsibility to share their voices. We foster a safe environment to explore, take risks, and think independently so that the arts may be a vehicle for personal expression and the understanding of self and others.
It is our vision that students discover the possibilities of visual art as it relates to our daily presence and professional endeavors. We strive to be a leading program which offers superior opportunities for the ESA family and our greater community.
