ESA's Cade campus is nestled amid sugarcane fields a short distance from Lafayette, the hub city of the region. The site is a former sugarcane plantation, and the ruins of the old mill sit at the back of campus. Our Old Chapel and library buildings were once plantation warehouse and company store. With this rural atmosphere, intensive learning takes place in an informal, relaxing setting.
The Lafayette campus is on the site of St. Barnabas Church in the heart of Lafayette. Lower School students and teachers hold daily Chapels in the church sanctuary and share common spaces with church staff. They share a relationship as well - the rector of St. Barnabas leads Chapel once a week and often stops by to visit with faculty and students. The early childhood program - preschool and kindergarten - is housed in the main building, while first through fifth grades are in classrooms near the soccer field and playground. Campus spaces include two libraries, an art and science lab, and a computer lab.
