The Arts

Middle School Art Students Practice Their CraftWhether a student dreams of playing a lead role in a popular production, singing an aria, creating a sculpture, or playing in a swing band, ESA’s arts program is the thriving pulse of artistic development in the school.

Students come to ESA with a variety of artistic talents. Within the walls of the art studio or the Chapel theatre, students feel comfortable sharing those talents, knowing classmates and teachers will support their efforts. Art teachers lead students through a variety of media and styles, studying inspiring art while encouraging and nurturing each child’s creative potential.

Each drama student performs before an audience by the end of the semester in plays or musical variety shows. Orchestras and singers come together to showcase student talent and to complement the programs at various school events.

Students continue to meet during free periods or after school to rehearse or paint, because they love what they do and because their teachers feed that fire. The arts weave themselves into our core courses as well, emphasizing the importance of creative development in learning.
