Celebrating DNA Day

Seventh grade life science students celebrated DNA Day on April 25th with a choice of projects, including extracting DNA from fruit, a news report video on the history of DNA discoveries, an essay on DNA research, or DNA art with origami, household materials, or beads arranged in a bracelet, like the two bracelets shown here that represent DNA of a flesh-eating microbe and a Madagascar hissing cockroach.
