    Episcopal School of Acadiana is seeking a creative and talented leader to be our Director of Advancement. As a member of the senior leadership team at ESA, the Director of Advancement will be part of a creative learning community. We seek an inclusive team player and coach who will plan and oversee our fundraising and enrollment efforts, and who can build strong relationships and deepen our culture of philanthropy. An exciting part of this work will be the opportunity to help carry out an ambitious multi-phase, multi-million dollar campaign to upgrade the Cade Campus (6th-12th grades). Our Director of Advancement will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring and committed group of people, and to play a major role in shaping ESA’s future success.

    Summary
    The Director of Advancement will provide overall leadership to the Advancement (Development, Admissions and Communication) team.  The Director is responsible for the creation, implementation and management of an annual strategic fundraising plan, which includes annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, grant writing, foundation and corporate partnerships, and event planning. The Director will work with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, advancement team, and volunteers through fundraising, marketing, admissions, alumni relations, and community relations. In addition, the Director of Advancement will work with the capital campaign team to help execute various future campaigns. The Director will invest considerable time in relationship building throughout the school community, particularly with parents, past parents, and alumni, and will ensure that all of the school’s development, admissions and communication efforts are coordinated and in alignment.

    Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
    Leads the Advancement Team, which currently consists of the Development Director, Communications Director, Admissions Director, Lower School Admissions Coordinator, and Admissions/Development Assistant, and future positions which include a Major Gifts Officer.

    Oversees the cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of individual donors, foundations, and corporations.

    Builds relationships with donors and community stakeholders to advance the school’s mission and fundraising goals, and deepen stewardship with donors and partners at all levels which includes developing a comprehensive alumni engagement program.

    Partners with the ESA Board and campaign team to lead the community through a multi-year capital campaign. Collaborates with leadership to personally solicit major gifts and serves as a staff liaison to the Board’s Advancement Committee.

    Oversees enrollment management efforts and the design, production and distribution of school-wide communication.

    ESA is an independent PK3-12th grade school serving students from the seven-parish area of south Louisiana known as Acadiana. Our Lafayette Campus houses grades PK3 through 5, with a state-of-the-art classroom facility and an Enrichment Center that hosts art, music, language, technology, science, the library, and the learning center, as well as administrative offices. The Cade Campus, home to 6th through 12th grades, is a 100-acre rural site that once operated as a sugar mill and plantation.     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of experience in a development role; independent school experience preferred
    • Knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and daily operations within a development office
    • Knowledge of strategic institutional branding, volunteer recruitment, advertising, marketing, enrollment management, and public and community relations
    • Experience successfully cultivating, soliciting and securing individual gifts with a demonstrated success leading fundraising campaigns
    • Strong staff management, team building and coaching skills, and ability to think strategically to inform and frame plans and execution
    • Experience partnering with a Board of Trustees and guiding their development efforts
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and technology skills. 
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor database software (experience with Blackbaud’s OnSuite preferred but not required)

  • Database Manager

    Summary
    The Database Manager serves as primary entry person and manager of ESA’s Blackbaud School Management Solution database system for all divisions which include Academics, Enrollment Management, Extracurricular, and Core. He/she serves as the primary point of contact and custodian of student information and records, performing tasks associated with the collection, maintenance, archiving, and release of student records to include serving as Registrar. The Database Manager provides technical support for the Development fundraising team by designing new queries, reports, data analyses, and prospect research through Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT.

    The person in this position is a team player and possesses the ability to take initiative, work independently as well as collaboratively, organize, assess and prioritize in order to meet multiple deadlines. Maintaining confidentiality is crucial to the position as well as managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines while staying organized. The incumbent is able to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, and master the Blackbaud Suite products including updates, upgrades and other current and future improvements.

    Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
    Performs data entry of multiple constituencies maintaining the confidentiality and security of information.

    Coordinates and works closely with the Development Office on donor information management.

    Manages the database cycles of enrollment, withdrawal and graduation. Calculates GPA as required for high school transcripts/report cards. Prepares and verifies current and final transcripts.

    Oversee faculty entry of student grades and comments into the database. Reviews and sends interim reports and report cards to families each quarter.

    Serves as a resource for advanced list creation and similar database queries, filters, specialized reports; migrates, imports, and exports data. Provides user support and training.

    Collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate and auditable records and databases.
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Superb verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty and staff
    • Responsible person who takes pride in managing databases
    • Strong eye for detail and accuracy
    • Highly organized, with exceptional problem resolution and analytical skills.
    • Possess a foundational understanding of technology and ability to learn various computer applications
    • Knowledge of database principles

  • Bus Driver

    Episcopal School of Acadiana is seeking a driver for school owned buses to safely transport students to and from school and between school campuses. ESA is an independent school serving a seven parish (Acadiana) area for grades PK3-12 grade.
     
    Driver Responsibilities:
    Safely transport a large number of students
    Maintain a clean bus
     
    Job Requirements:
    Commercial License w/ school bus endorsement
    2 years of Experience (Preferred)
    Good verbal communication skills
    Clean Driving Record
    Ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol test
     
    Position Details:
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay; $14.00 to $16/hr. depending upon experience
    **Per diem pay**- Will be offered for additional routes to sporting and other school events
    Schedule- General Hours are 6 am-8 am & 3 pm-5 pm) 5 days a week
