Alumni Panel 2022

Homecoming has been rescheduled for the week of January 31st-February 4th, but we continued our tradition of inviting ESA alumni to join us for chapel in early January to share memories from their time here and lessons they took with them when they left. The three ESA alumni who made up our Alumni Panel on Wednesday morning in Cade are from classes celebrating reunion years in 2022. Left to right, Christiaan Mader, '02, is founder and editor of The Current, a nonprofit news organization serving south Louisiana. He is married to Lizzy LaPointe, '03, and they are the parents of a son, Nils. Mandi Guillotte Pooler, '92, is owner and publisher of Lafayette Town Planner and co-owner of The Corner Grocery in Loreauville. Mandi has a family full of ESA alumni, including husband Brent Pooler, '92, and sons Everett, '17, and Collin, '20. Virginia Walker, '12, is an artist and interior designer. She's engaged to ESA alumnus Hunter Dondero, '12, and will be moving to Houston this month. They each spoke about the legendary teachers whose names are on our Falcon Cup houses this year: Coach Brian Rhoades, Mr. Cabell Tutwiler, Dr. David and Mrs. Anne Tate, and Madame Diana Maggini.
