The Bones Girls

A group of fourth graders know as the Bones Girls presented the tale of Bob the bobcat in chapel this week. The girls discovered a set of bones near the river behind the Outback during recess in December. The find included an almost complete skelton, and they spent several weeks analyzing and researching animal bones to determine what type of skeleton they had found. After learning as much as they could on their own and with teacher Coty Eastin's help, they called in an expert, Dr. Baker. Using features of the skeleton, such as eye socket location and dental formula, he helped them to identify the animal as a bobcat.
