First Grade Egg Drop

First graders started the school year with an Egg Drop Challenge. They learned and used the scientific method to complete the challenge, and practiced cooperation and listening skills as they worked in teams. With a goal of keeping theirs eggs safe when dropped from the handrail outside of the Enrichment Center, the groups used bubble wrap, plastic bag parachutes, lunch boxes and other items to protect their cargo. The results were mixed, and the students will evaluate what worked and what didn't in each experiment.
