Enrichment Cluster Fair

This weeks Enrichment Cluster Fairs introduced first through fifth grade students to the possible topics for this year's enrichment clusters, which bring students together in interest groups across grade levels. Each Wednesday for seven weeks in the fall, the first and second grade groups meet to explore their areas of study, learn from experts in the field and chart their own in-depth learning. In the spring, these students select a different cluster topic and enjoy another seven weeks of exploration. Third through fifth grade groups explore one topic for sixteen weeks. Topics the students viewed at the fairs include: for first and second grades, volunteering, collage, photography, invention, upcycling, puppets, magic tricks, gardening, bubble science, games and puzzles, the great outdoors; and for third through fifth grades, American sign language, podcasting, hand embroidery, world customs and cultures, pioneer spirit, improv, architectural models, no waste lower school, cooking through history, flood factor, set design, songwriting, costume design, photography/photo documentary, news, and knitting.
