Monks Visit ESA
Lower School students and teachers welcomed the Tibetan monks of the Drepung Gomang Monastery this week. The children not only enjoyed watching them create the beautiful sand mandala. They also asked countless questions, shared center time and lunches with the guests, and joined them in practicing meditation. At the end of the week, the monks swept the sand and poured it into the river as a symbol of impermanence. We thank them for sharing their culture and their message of compassion and kindness with us.
