Chicken Lab
In science, fifth graders observed the inner workings of the musculoskeletal system by dissecting chicken wings. Students identified the bones, tendons, muscle fibers, cartilage, and types of joints after observing how they interrelate. One of the highlights was breaking the bones to find the marrow!
