Chaucer Tradition

Congratulations to the seniors and sophomores chosen to recite the prologue to Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English for ESA's annual competition. It’s a tradition that started with ESA in 1979. English students learn the prologue and recite it in class, then teachers invite those with the best pronunciation and presentation to compete in chapel. Top honors went to Madeleine Martin, 1st, Charles Blem, 2nd, and Peter Menard, 3rd!
