Jammies and More

The Community Service Club hosted a Jammies for Grammies not-so-free dress day. Students on both campuses paid $3 for the privilege of wearing their jammies to school in support of the Adopt-a-Grand project to benefit senior citizens living in the Schooldays Apartments in New Iberia. This year, the money raised through the project will go toward the residents' electricity bills. Extra funds from this project will help to pay for the Christmas Care Package project that Ms. Joanne's first graders have been leading. Students have created shoe box gift boxes for deployed soldiers from Louisiana. Community Service Club members will wrap and label the gifts and deliver them to be shipped. This Saturday, community service volunteers will help with the Down Syndrome Association's Christmas project. The Wonder Women Club has sponsored a family for Christmas through Faith House, and over the break, volunteers will serve at St. Joseph's Diner. Thank you all for supporting ESA students' efforts to serve!
