Lightbox Build

Mrs. Graycheck's Photo II class spent the whole semester learning and working in alternative photographic processes. In addition to film cameras, they built their own pinhole cameras, and used digital cameras to create imagery, then printed large format digital transparencies to use in the darkroom. One of the processes, Cyanotypes (sun prints), requires UV light rays to expose the photograph. With a very wet and rainy spring, students Evan Lipari, '24, and Eshaan Ali, '24, took matters into their own hands and spearheaded a project to build a UV lightbox for the visual arts department so they never have to wait on the sun again! Special thanks to Mr. Jason, Mr. Nick, and Mrs. Sonnier for proper instruction on wiring and soldering of the light source.
