Poetry Out Loud

Congratulations to the winners of ESA's 2021-2022 Poetry Out Loud competition: left to right, Siyeon Joo, 1st, who recited "Harold & the Purple Crayon" by D. Gilson and “Ode 1.11”  by Horace; Owen Broussard, 2nd, who performed "To Have Without Holding" by Marge Piercy and "The American Soldier" by Philip Freneau; and Maria-Sofia Sotiropoulou, 3rd, who presented "Time Does Not Bring Relief; You All Have Lied" by Edna St. Vincent Millay and “The World Is Too Much With Us” by William Wordsworth! Siyeon, Owen, and Maria-Sofia will represent ESA at the Regional Poetry Out Loud competition on Saturday, January 22nd at 10:00 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Cheers to all of the students who were selected from their classes to compete in chapel on Wednesday!
