Sharing Math

Third graders participated in a Zoom call with mathematician Greg Tang, author of The Best of Times, The Grapes of Math, and other books that help children learn math. The students were enthusiastic participants in Wednesday's 30-minute workshop, "Equal Groups Word Problems." As they wrapped up, Mr. Tang invited them to have a dance contest against their teachers, and he declared the students the winners. Following Mr. Tang's visit, students were challenged to explain to teacher Leslie Tidwell what they learned from the workshop.
