Way of Love

This week, members of the Cade campus community began participating in The Way of Love, a program developed by The Episcopal Church. Upper School students and teachers met this week in the Willis R. Henton Chapel, and the Middle School will hold its first gathering on Tuesday.

The Way of Love is open to all ESA students and faculty on the Cade campus. Each session follows a similar structure with an opening prayer, discussions, reflections, and a closing prayer. But it’s more than a prayer group or even a Bible study. It’s a way for members of our community to discern how God operates in our lives and to make an intentional commitment to a set of practices to follow Jesus in the hope of shaping us into His likeness.

Throughout the school year, the Upper School group will meet in the chapel during tutorial times on the first Thursday of the month, and the Middle School group will meet the first Tuesday of the month. Before each session, students are emailed readings of scripture, videos, and questions to consider before coming together. These materials are then posted to myESA for further reflection. Any interested students or teachers are welcome to join at any time. View a video introduction to the program here
