Visual Arts Honors

At the closing reception for LSU's 7th Annual Statewide Juried High School Exhibition, Claire Garber, '23, was awarded an Honorable Mention for her Peking Opera mugs. Congratulations, Claire!

Six pieces by upper school artists were selected for the 2023 exhibition. A painting by Violet Vale, '26, ceramic pieces by Claire Garber, '23, and Javion George, '24, and photographs by Greer Hernandez, '23, Sadie Ross, '24, and Cade Broussard, '25, were on display in the exhibition at the Gallery in the Barnes Ogden Art & Design Complex on the LSU campus from February 15th through the closing reception on March 11th.

Five additional artists had pieces on display in the 2023 Louisiana High School Literary Rally Art Exhibit at UL's Fletcher Hall Gallery: a photograph by Reese Foret, '24, a sculpture by Lillie "Jane" Turner, '24, a ceramic piece by Claire Lisecki, '24, and paintings by Ryan Cotteleer, '24, and McKenzie Lacour, '25, were included in the exhibit. Congratulations, ESA artists!
