All-Star Athletes
For the 2015-2016 soccer season, All-District teams for Division IV, District 3 have been announced. For the girls: Claire Pham, Ella Frantzen, Samantha Withers and Cassie Bowers have been named to the 1st team. Molly Hebert and Anna LeGoullon made the 2nd team, and Rosie Dupré and Christiaan Thibodeaux received Honorable Mention. For the boys: Tolson Frantzen, Matthew Pisani, Ethan Miller, Hunter Ardizone and Adam Dakin were named to the 1st team. Will Cowen, Andrew Malek, Story Frantzen and Nathan Mouton made the 2nd team. Ethan Miller was named the Defensive MVP.
Claire Pham was named to the All-State second team, and Cassie Bowers and Ella Fratnzen were chosen for the Freshman All-State team. For the boys, Hunter Ardizone and Ethan Miller were named to the first team All-State, Tolson Frantzen and Matthew Pisani made second team All-State, and Nathan Mouton and Will Cowen were named to the Freshman All-State team.
Sarah Pierre, ’16, was selected to play in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association East-West All-Star Volleyball match in November. She was also named to the 1st Team All-District and the All-Acadiana teams, and was selected as Tech Area MVP. As captain, Sarah led the Falcons to the State Tournament quarterfinals this year. She is competing in Track & Field this spring.
ESA swimmers Michael dela Rosa, ’20, and Isabella Buttaci, ’18, have been named to the 2015-2016 Southwest Louisiana All League Team. At the State meet, Isabella placed 1st in the 200 breast, while Michael placed 2nd in the 200 IM and 1st in the 200 breast, a race in which he broke the school record!
