Isabelle Berthelot, '20, Named Promising Young Writer

Congratulations to Isabelle Berthelot, '20, (with English teacher Reese Fuller) for being named a winner in the Promising Young Writers Program. Sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English, the contest recognizes promising 8th grade writers from across the nation. ESA has nominated student writers in the past, but Isabelle is the first student to win the award. She is Louisiana's sole winner this year, and the first Louisiana writer to garner the honor since 2010. Congratulations, Isabelle!
