Eighth Graders Participate in NaNoWriMo

Eighth graders celebrated the end of National Novel Writing Month with a pizza party. Throughout November, all 56 members of Mr. Fuller's English classes penned their own novels. On average, each student wrote 23,632 words within the past month. Since October, the class has been studying the elements of writing a compelling narrative - including character, plot, conflict, setting, mood, and dialogue. Individual word-count goals set by the students themselves averaged from 15,000 to 35,000 words per novel. Combined, the entire class wrote 1,323,376 words, the highest word count total since ESA first started participating in the program five years ago. Congratulations, Class of 2022!
