Second Graders Hold Mock Trials at the Courthouse
ESA parent volunteers attorneys Richard Kennedy, '92, Stacy Kennedy, Matt Green, and Jasmine Bertrand-Vale, as well as Lafayette Parish Sheriff Mark Garber and The Honorable Charlie Fitzgerald, '92, guided second graders through mock legal trials at the Lafayette Parish Courthouse. Students served as plaintiffs, defendants, jurors, and the judge in a variety of trials, such as determining whether homework and school uniforms should be required.
