With 17 individual state championships, Samantha, '19, has made a huge mark on ESA athletics. She has led her teams to eight state titles, and was named ESA's Sidney Hebert Athlete of the Year in 2017 and 2018. Sam's championship titles include:
2018 Track: 1600m, 800m, 400m (3rd in 3200m) (Outstanding Athlete)
Sam is also a vital member of the state runner-up soccer team, and has led as class president for the past two years. As a peer leader, she helps freshmen make the transition to upper school. In all of her leadership roles - captain, president, peer leader, club leader - Sam leads with kindness, humor, hard work and grace. A member of the National Honor Society, Sam matches her athletic success with academic excellence. "Science is my favorite subject," Sam says, "because I like figuring out why and how certain elements of life work." Sam and two of her classmates founded the STEM Club for Girls to share their passion for science and math with younger students through hands-on activities.
