Sudden Impact
As part of the Sudden Impact program, local law enforcement officers and medical and rescue personnel staged a mock crash on the Cade Campus. The program, designed by the State Police and the LSU Level 1 Trauma Center in New Orleans, is intended to address distracted driving, intoxicated driving, and seat belt safety. Juniors and seniors observed the mock crash and its aftermath, which highlighted the consequences of driving while impaired. The program will continue with a mock trial next week. Thank you to the ESA students and parents who took on roles in the crash to bring this message to the Classes of 2021 and 2022.
