Curriculum Connections

Apples played a central role in learning activities in Ms. Barbie's PK4 class this week. In their science unit on the human body, students studied the five senses, with apples as one of the objects they examined with their senses. In math, the students counted, compared, and created patterns using apples. And in language arts, they followed sequential steps to independently make mini apple empanadas from beginning to end. The lesson came full circle as they used their senses to enjoy the empanadas!
