This week, PK4 students in teacher Barbie Hedge's class studied the pulmonary and circulatory systems and how the lungs provide oxygen to all of the parts of their bodies. The children used their lungs to blow balloons and feathers. They used yarn to add veins and arteries to their body models, and they learned that their blood has white blood cells that protect their bodies. Finally, they practiced techniques for coughing, and used a black light to search for invisible germs that hide!
