Top Honors

Alumni Spotlight: Jacob Camden, ’18, has been honored with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, one of the premier awards presented by The University of Alabama to recognize excellence of character and service to humanity. More than seventy universities present Algernon Sydney Sullivan Awards for service to the campus community and beyond, and past recipients have included Mr. Rogers and Eleanor Roosevelt. Jacob has been the president of the on-campus service organization Bama Tutors for Service, through which he has volunteered over 140 hours assisting Tuscaloosa-area K-12 students. He has also served as a teaching assistant, a virtual intern, a tutor, and a camp counselor. He will graduate this spring with a triple major in philosophy, English and Spanish, as well as minors in Blount liberal arts, world literature and German.
