Performing Arts

In the Lower School, performing arts are introduced through music class, choir, and the Lower School musical.

Music instruction begins with exposure to different instruments and forms of music. From PreK-3 to 5th grade, students attend music classes and learn a variety of songs in chapel. Students who join the choir attend practice after school for one day a week in the fall. In the spring, practices increase in frequency as preparations begin for the spring musical, a full-scale musical performance. Students perform on the stage in late spring. Past performances include Willy Wonka KidsThe Wizard of OzAlice in Wonderland Jr., Seussical JrThe Lion King Jr., Annie Jr. and Moana. Third, fourth, and fifth-grade students are invited to take part in the productions.
