Cookie Contest

To teach her second grade students to write persuasively, teacher Emily Theriot challenged them with a cookie design contest. Each student created a design, described it in writing, then wrote a persuasive piece about why the design should be chosen to be made into a cookie. After rough drafts, edits, and final drafts, the writings and designs were sent to Kay Miller Broussard, aka The Cookie Mama, who chose two top designs. As a special surprise, The Cookie Mama made a cookie for each design. View a video of the big reveal on our Facebook page.
