Spanish Club welcomed Señor Luis Alfonso Tarazona as a guest tango instructor this week. An artist from Colombia, Señor Alfonso has been in the United States since the 1990s, and has worked as a dress and fashion designer in New York, and as a tango, merengue, and salsa instructor around Lafayette and for Mardi Gras Krewes. Additionally, he has dabbled in cooking, Latin music, and other visual arts. Club members had a great time learning four common steps used in dances across the world. They've invited him to come back and give another lesson soon!
