Math Architecture

Thanks to ESA parent, alumnus, and professional architect Scott Chappuis, '97, AIA, for meeting with Ms. Roz's fourth-grade students this week. Scott shared some of his recent projects, including an award-winning animal shelter, and explained how architects work with clients to create well-designed and functional spaces. The students have been completing their own architecture and design projects as they study shapes, measurements, and area in math. The groups showed Scott their drawings, and in some cases 3-D models, and spoke about their design decisions.
