ESA Boys and Girls Win State Cross Country Titles!

ESA swept the Class B Cross Country State Championships in Natchitoches, with team wins in both the boys and girls races. Coach Laura Magann led the boys' team to a repeat and the girls' team to their first state championship since 2007.

With points based on the places of the top five runners, ESA boys scored just 23 points. All five runners finished in the top ten: Henry Schneider, 1st, Daniel Magann, 3rd, Ellis Hernandez, 4th, Riley Nickel, 8th, and Oliver Vreeland, 9th. Rounding out the team were Matthew Pisani, 12th and Oliver Nickel, 13th.

Scoring 48 points, the girls' team edged out 2nd place Pitkin by four. Giving their all for the Falcons were Samantha Withers, 1st, Aline Malek, 2nd, Abby Langford, 6th, Cassie Beyers, 18th, Arden Frantzen, 26th, Simone Plauché, 49th, and Jess Tetnowski, 51st.
