A three-week program designed for K-3 students who:
- experience difficulty with reading, writing, and spelling.
- may have a diagnosed learning difference that affects reading and writing.
- need specialized instruction to prevent regression in reading and writing performance that occurs without daily practice.

$1,200 per student
Depending on each student’s individual needs, The Learning Center’s summer program offers:
- Systematic and direct instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, sight words, vocabulary and reading comprehension strategies
- Practice in applying these skills in reading and writing
- Fluency training
- Enriched language experiences
Instructors are certified teachers at the Episcopal School of Acadiana who are trained in The Learning Center’s Orton-Gillingham based approach in teaching language skills.
