Sharing Cultures

Second grade students welcomed members of their classmates' families who introduced dishes and activities from their families’ cultures, including the Filipino dish Pancit, Vietnamese egg rolls, South Korean Gim (seaweed), and Indian gathiya, as well as the games yut and jegi chagi from South Korea, Chinese zhi (paper cutting) and bo long gu (mini drums), and the languages Telugu and Hindi from India. Students also had the opportunity to look through a wedding album from India.
