Congratulations to Upper School Head Dr. Kat Movassaghi and ESA parent Dr. Jin Lee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership at UL Lafayette. Their paper, "The role of greenness of school grounds in student violence in the Chicago Public Schools," has been accepted for publication in the journal Children, Youth and Environments. Dr. Movassaghi used the Cade Campus as a model for her dissertation, which she defended in 2020, on how intentional elements of a landscaped school campus reduce stress in adolescents. We're thankful for our green spaces! Shown here, third grade teachers Leslie Tidwell and Joanne Broussard give their students a quick orientation before they release them onto the Lafayette Campus fields for recess on the first day of school.
