ESA Swimming State Success

ESA's Girls Swim team took 5th place and the Boys team finished 6th at the State meet in Sulphur this week! With just ten swimmers, ESA competed against much bigger teams in the 27-team meet. All swims, individual and relays, scored points for the Falcons. Congratulations to individual State champions Michael dela Rosa (100 breast) and Regan Manning (500 free), who both set school records in their first place finishes. Other top three finishes include: boys 200 medley (Nick LaGraize, Michael dela Rosa, Curtis Hidalgo, Anil Cacodcar), 3rd; Elena Alvarado, 2nd in 200 IM and 3rd in 100 breast; Michael dela Rosa, 2nd in 200 IM; Regan Manning, 2nd in 100 fly (school record); boys 200 free relay (Curtis Hidalgo, Nick LaGraize, Anil Cacodcar, Michael dela Rosa), 3rd; girls 200 free relay (Elena Alvarado, Lily Pillaro, Malaika Subramanian, Regan Manning), 4th and school record.
