Science Department Chair Recognized by Stanford University

Stanford University recently recognized teachers who made an impact on members of Stanford's Class of 2021. Tolson Frantzen, ESA Class of 2017, honored science department chair Andy LeGoullon with this citation: "Andy 'Lego' LeGoullon creates challenging adventures in proofs and failures that are at times maddening, especially when Lego constantly cracks jokes that he usually laughs at all by himself. However, with his unique love, passion, and humor, Lego ultimately inspires everybody to overcome the fear of failure. In doing that he unleashes in all of us a fierce independence of thought that is powered by the scientific method, and limited only by the imagination."
