Emile Legendre, '09

Emile Legendre, ’09, shared with us how ESA prepared him for his next adventures: “ESA gave me the broad education and skills to work in various diverse environments. It also gave me the self-confidence to know that I can thrive in lots of different work environments.”

Emile graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Natural Resources. After graduation, he worked as a wildland firefighter with the National Park Service for three summers and as a ski patroller in the winters. Eventually, he returned to Louisiana and became an emergency medicine physician assistant. Emile worked in Baton Rouge for two years before returning to Montana to serve in a rural emergency department. Back in Louisiana, he is in his third year of medical school with the intention of going back to emergency medicine upon graduation.

Emile wants our Falcons to remember that “life is long, and life is short. You have enough time to accomplish anything you want, but not necessarily everything that you want. If something piques your interest, don't be afraid to dive in as long as you can keep your long term goals in mind.”

Thanks, Emile!
