Performing Arts (US)

The ESA Performing Arts Department seeks to identify and cultivate talent and to instill a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts by giving students the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their artistic goals through a variety of performance opportunities. The theatre department seeks to cultivate and strengthen dramatic talent through extra-curricular activities, such as a student's participation in the spring musical, attendance at plays and musicals in the Acadiana community and beyond, and any audition opportunity that presents itself to the ESA student.

All performing arts courses except Advanced Music are one semester long and earn 0.5 credit upon successful completion of the course.

Graduation requirement: 1.5 credits in the visual and/or performing arts
