Parrish Anderson, '19
Parrish Anderson, ’19, played soccer and attended classes at LSUE for a year after graduation before moving to Savannah, Georgia, to start his career as a firefighter. He worked for three years in that role, then joined the Army in 2023.
“ESA taught me critical thinking and troubleshooting, learning to solve my problems independently, and time management,” Parrish shared. He is now a senior firefighter and serves in the Georgia Army National Guard in the 1-48th attached to the Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
Parrish’s advice to our current students: “Have a plan, but play the cards you are dealt. Nothing is guaranteed. As fast as something can be given is as fast as it can be taken. Cherish the good and learn from the bad. Be selfish sometimes and put yourself first when needed!”
Thank you, Parrish, for sharing your update and for your service to our country!
