Performing Arts

Kat Movassaghi, Performing Arts Chair

I love seeing the confidence that comes out of a child when he or she completes a play. It is a noticeable difference. Whether they are more outspoken in class, eager to do another play, or even something as simple as holding their head up high and smiling as they walk around campus, you know they are proud of what they just did. While appreciation of the arts is a goal as a teacher, confidence in one's self is paramount.

Performing Arts at ESA

The ESA Performing Arts Department seeks to identify and cultivate talent and to instill a life-long appreciation for the performing arts by giving students the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their artistic goals through a variety of performance opportunities.

The Performing Arts Department consists of two main branches: music and theatre. Our goal is to discover and nurture the creative potential in each child.

We connect more closely with the human experience through different mediums of performance, whether through singing in the musical, playing an instrument, acting in a dramatic production or speaking publicly on a particular subject. The life of the entire school is enriched through performing arts.
