Loretta Humphries Dumontet, '97
Dr. Loretta Humphries Dumontet, '97 (far right), trained in pediatrics, psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry after completing medical school. She worked in academics at the University of Alabama Birmingham and at Tulane University for more than a decade before moving into the insurance field and beginning to serve as an expert witness for court cases. Loretta married JeanMarc Dumontet, a French Canadian engineer, in April 2024.
"ESA taught me how to think critically, gave me a strong academic base, and prepared me to be very successful in college, even though I graduated from ESA with a 2.8," Loretta says. "I also learned how to speak French at ESA and I won scholarships to study French in France and Canada. And now I am married to a fantastic Francophone who I converse in French with every day."
