Dr. Bill Croughan, '11

Dr. Bill Croughan, '11, joined us in Cade for a chapel about his invention, the Dog Paw, the world's first weighted grid instrument. Bill graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2016 with a BS in mathematical science, and from UC Berkeley in 2023 with a PhD in neuroscience.

He visited with his wife, parents, and sister Dr. Carolyn Croughan Benedetto, '09, and performed a couple of songs with the help of Performing Arts Chair Bill Smith and Chaplain Reese Fuller. Find a video of Bill's chapel talk on Vimeo, and visit Dog Paw music's website for more information about his invention!
