Natalie Rabalais House, '97

Natalie Rabalais House, ’97, earned a bachelor of arts in elementary education from Clemson University in 2001, and a master of education in middle level mathematics from Winthrop University in 2005. She spent 23 years teaching middle school mathematics in Richland County School District in Columbia, SC, before transitioning in 2023 to Kershaw County School District, where she now serves as an elementary math instructional coach supporting teachers across three schools. Natalie also collaborates with an online curriculum company to develop teacher-preparation materials and create expert study videos for students.

“ESA taught me the value of hard work and striving for excellence, the foundations of strong writing and communication, and the importance of meaningful relationships—especially with mentors,” Natalie shares. “ESA also encouraged me to discover my passions and pursue excellence in them. I often try to describe the ESA experience to others, but its impact is truly beyond what words can fully capture.”

Natalie offers this advice to our current students: “Realize that you are part of a truly unique educational journey. Embrace every opportunity ESA provides—both inside and beyond the classroom. You are offered experiences that many students never have, and each one has the power to shape you in meaningful and memorable ways. Savor every moment.”

Thanks, Natalie!
