Bird Fuller, '26

Bird has been a Falcon since PK3. She's a member of Eco Club, Speech and Debate, and Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society, as well as the tennis team and the yearbook staff. She says being a member of the Honor Council is one of the unique opportunities she loves about ESA.

Here's our Q&A with Bird:

What makes ESA a unique school to attend?

ESA is unique in that the students develop encouraging relationships with the teachers. These relationships foster independence, courage, and expression of individuality.

Who or what has inspired you as a learner?

When I went to the lower school, I learned the idea to always stay in the struggle. This idea taught me that when things get tough, that’s when you really start to learn. For instance, when given tough assignments I persevere even though I often want to give up. Once I push through the rough parts, I feel more confident in my ability. I have learned that difficult things in life are more about the process and not always about the product.

What has been your most challenging moment at ESA?

The most challenging aspect of the ESA experience is achieving a work/life balance. For me,  assessing priorities, managing my time, and creating opportunities for spending time with friends allowed me to be fulfilled both in and outside of school.

If you had a month to study anything in the world, what would you be passionate about learning?

I'm interested in social issues, specifically women's studies and current cultural crises.

Is there anything you’d like to share with the community about your ESA experience?

My time at ESA has shaped me into the strong student and individual that I am. My ESA experience has taught me the traits of a scholar and independence.

Thanks, Bird!
