Isabella Bourque, '27

Junior Isabella Bourque came to ESA as a seventh grader, and she says what makes ESA different from other schools is all of the freedom and the ability to express yourself. A volleyball player, and a member of the Pep Squad and Cupcakes for Causes, Izzy also plays music, sings, and paints and sells banners. A student ambassador for Operation Shower, an organization that provides baby showers for military families, she attends the youth leadership seminar at LSU every summer too.

Here’s our Q&A with Izzy:

Who or what has inspired you as a learner?

My parents have really inspired me to keep going because I want to be able to build up a family like the one they created. It all starts with getting a good education.

What has been your most challenging moment at ESA?

My most challenging moment has been having the motivation to keep up with all of our school work.

If you had a month to study anything in the world, what would you be passionate about learning?

I would be passionate about learning about music.

Is there anything you’d like to share with the community about your ESA experience?

Managing school is possible even while feeling unmotivated. You genuinely can make the school day fun if you have the right mindset.

Thanks, Izzy!
